冬十月壬寅，詔講筵權罷講《禮記》。先是，王安石講《禮記》，數難記者之非是，上以為然。是日，上因留安石坐，曰：『且欲得卿議論。』上曰：『唐太宗必得魏鄭公，劉備必得諸葛亮，然後可以有為。』安石對曰：『陛下誠能為堯舜，則必有咎夔稷契；陛下誠能為高宗，則必有傅說。魏鄭公、諸葛亮皆有道者所羞，何足道哉?』
