53  | 冬十月，御邇英閣，讀《正說﹒謹罰》篇，述後漢光武罷梁統從重之奏。帝曰：『深文峻法，誠非善政。』宋綬對曰：『王者峻法則易，寬刑則難。夫以人主得專生殺，一言之怒則如雷如霆，是峻易而寬難也。』丙子，御邇英閣，讀《正說﹒養民》篇。帝曰：『荀子言「君如杼，民如水」，何也?』丁度對曰：『水隨器之方圓，若民從君之好惡，是以人君謹所好焉。』甲午，邇英閣講《春秋》，上曰：『《春秋》自昭公之後，魯道陵遲，家陪用政，記載雖悉而典要則寡。宜刪去蔓辭，止取君臣政教事節講之。』因謂宋綬等曰：『《春秋》經旨在於獎王室，尊君道。丘明作傳，文義甚博，然其間錄詭異，則不若《公羊》、《穀梁》二傳之質。』綬等對曰：『三傳得失誠如聖言。臣等自今凡丘明所記事稍近誣，及陪臣僭亂無足勸誡者，皆略而不講。』 |
