二月戊戌朔，中書舍人虞允文充川陝宣諭使，措置招軍買馬，且與吳璘相見議事。庚子，張浚、虞允文入對。時浚乞偕執政奏事，上不許。詔浚罷相後有合得特進恩數，皆還之。興州前軍同統領惠逢複河州。壬寅，金人犯汝州，守將王宣率親兵迎戰。天大雨，虜大敗遁去。癸卯，上發建康府。惠逢遣兵複積石軍。乙巳夜，雷。丁未，太尉、威武軍節度使、提舉萬壽觀劉錡薨於臨安府。壬子，王宣自汝州班師。乙卯，上至臨安府，乘馬還大內。丙辰，金人犯蔡州，侍衛馬軍司統制趙樽擊卻之。辛酉，右正言劉度入對，言：『今者視師回鑾，願止取親臨行陣、折馘執俘、有軍功者方得推恩外，一切賞典，所宜謹惜，以革僥倖之門。』翌日進呈，上曰：『朕嘗諭度：朕此行不濫與一人官爵及濫減一年磨勘，卿等所共見也。』壬戌，雪。乙丑，御前中軍統制王宣敗金人于蔡州確山縣，於是趙樽自信陽歸德安，而宣亦還屯襄陽府。丙寅，瘞欽宗重於招賢寺，立虞主，上親遣奠。執政議上宜服袍履，權禮部侍郎黃中言曰：『三年天下之通喪，堯舜三代之所共也。後世以日易月，已有愧於古矣，然猶於二十七日釋服之後，因事則服之，庶幾反正。本朝典故，大葬啟攢，必服其初服是也。若曰今十月而葬，不可復服，則真宗九月而葬，何為亦服其初服乎?以故事考之，衰服為當。』前二日，左僕射陳康伯等進呈，上覽奏，曰：『朕為人子，豈可使事兄之禮過於事父?』中至都堂，右僕射朱倬謂中曰：『徽考大行有故事矣。』中曰：『此前日之誤，今所當改，奈何復因之?』倬因謂：『上意實然，臣子務為恭順可也。』中曰：『責難於君，乃為恭也。』金人復取蔡州。
