六月甲寅朔，初置沿江制置副使於鄂州。丙寅，詔曰：『朕以眇躬，嗣臨大統。夙夜祗懼，不敢荒寧。荷天之休，海內用乂。而國嗣未建，非所以嚴社稷、奉宗廟，朕深念焉。皇姪福州觀察使貴和，沂靖惠王之子，猶朕之子也。重厚英敏，天稟夙成，屬近且賢，聞於中外，蔽自朕志。爰舉恩徽，以昭立愛之義。夫計安天下，強本為先，親親賢賢，厥自古始，非朕所得私也。其以為皇子，改賜名竑。』是日，以竑為武寧軍節度使，進封祁國公。丁卯，以立皇子告於天地、宗廟、社稷。乙亥，太祖十世孫與莒補秉義郎。丙子，降京畿囚罪一等，釋杖以下。辛巳，大風。
