《庚子國變記》
20  | 二十四日，遂令董福祥及武衛中軍圍攻交民巷，榮祿自持檄督之，欲盡殺諸使臣。礮聲日夜不絕，屋瓦自騰，城中皆哭，拳匪助之，巫步披髮，升屋而號者數萬人，擊動天地。夷兵裁四百，四面為營壘，穿地道，令教民分守之，人自為必死，皆奮。圍攻五十餘曰，晝夜番戰，苦相持。董軍及武衛中軍死者無慮四千人，拳匪亦劣有傷亡，皆引退。而剛毅趙舒翹方坐城樓趣戰，飲酒歡呼。剛毅曰：「使館破，夷人無種矣！天下自是當太平。」舒翹起為壽曰：「自康有為倡亂悖逆，喜事之徒雲合而響應，公幸起而芟夷之，略已盡矣。上病且死，又失天下心，不足以承宗廟，幸繼統有人，定策之功，公第一。今義民四起，上下同仇，非太后聖明，公以身報國，盡除秕政，與海內更新，亦亡以致今曰之效也。古有社稷之臣，今於公見之矣。」剛毅大喜，自行酒屬舒翹曰：「展如知我。」展如舒翹字也。舒翹之入==也，剛毅援之，故事之尤諂，。 |
