40  | 張昌齡，冀州南宮人。弱冠以文詞知名。本州欲以秀才舉之，昌齡以時廢此科已久，固辭。乃充進士貢舉及第。貞觀二十一年，翠微宮成，詣闕獻頌。太宗召見，試作《息兵詔》草，俄頃而就。太宗甚悅，因謂之曰：「昔禰衡、潘岳，皆恃才傲物，以至非命。汝才不減二賢，宜追鑒前軌，以副吾所取也。」乃敕於通事舍人裡供奉。尋為昆山道行軍記室，破盧明月，平龜茲，軍書露布，皆昌齡之文也。再轉長安尉，出為襄州司戶，丁憂去官。後賀蘭敏之奏引於北門修撰，尋又罷去。乾封元年卒。文集二十卷。 |
