4  | 五月戊午朔。庚申，上謂宰臣曰：「卿等累言吳越去年水旱，昨有御史自江淮回，言不至為災，人非甚困。」李絳對曰：「臣得兩浙、淮南狀，繼言歉旱。方隅授任，皆朝廷信重之臣。御史非良，或容希媚，此正當奸佞之臣。況推誠之道，君人大本，任大臣以事，不可以小臣言間之。伏望明示御史姓名，正之典刑。」上曰：「卿言是也。朝廷大體，以恤人為本，一方不稔，即宜賑救，濟其饑寒，況可疑之也！向者不思而有此問，朕言過矣。」絳等拜賀。癸亥，熒惑近太微右執法。 |
