35  | 十八日，江夏知縣繡麟，發腰牌分給眾民，諭以賊來攻城，一方保正，率之上城，助兵勇守禦。城中黃鵠山繚繞如伏蛇，故俗呼蛇山，自黃鶴樓至東門，橫亙數里。士民登其上，觀者萬人。巡撫常大淳坐衙齋，望見行人蝟集。命以諸色大旗，分樹山脊，以眩賊目。 |
