1  | 《史》、《漢》有表，而范書則無。班氏有《藝文志》，而范氏、陳氏、歐陽氏及遼、金、元三史皆缺。沈約《宋書》，紀、志、傳三體悉仿舊史，獨闕刑法、食貨二志，亦乖史裁。三國、東晉、十六國疆域最為錯雜，而無志以別之，皆讀史者之所抱憾者也。自有錢大昭之《後漢書補表》及《補續漢書藝文志》，侯康之《補三國藝文志》，顧懷三之《補五代史藝文志》，倪燦之《補遼金元藝文志》，郝懿行之《補宋書刑法》、《食貨》二志，洪亮吉之補三國、東晉、十六國各《疆域志》，闡幽決滯，抱墜拾遺，生於數千百年以下，追及數千百年以上之事，恍如掌上螺紋，洵非淺見寡聞者所能道矣。 |
