9  | 一，宜讀國朝人經學書也。經語，惟漢人能解。漢儒語，惟國朝通儒能徧解。何也？諸大儒讀書多，記書真，校書細，好看古書，不敢輕改古本，不肯輕駁古說，善思善悟，善參校，善比例，善分別真偽，故經學為千古之冠。書多矣，以《皇清經解》為大宗，雖未全錄，已得大概。此書一千餘卷，當從何種看起？先看郝疏《爾雅》、段注《說文》、王氏《經義述聞》三種。學海堂輯刻《皇清經解》，成書後，續出者尚多，先出而未見未收者亦不少，以此例之，即得通志堂刻《經解》，卷軸雖富，菁華無多。當徐健庵初刻時，即為何義門所譏，所與學海堂刻《經解》相去遠甚。若治經從此下手，窮年莫殫，所得有限，不惟徒勞，且茫無師法，轉致迷罔矣。若於此道源流派別既已秩然，再取讀之，未為晚也。 |
