《吏治類》
1  | 山陰吳留村，名興祚，中順治戊子進士，時年十七。明年，選江西萍鄉縣知縣。改山西大寧縣知縣，陞山東沂州府知府，以事鐫級，左補江南無錫縣知縣。時忽有奸人持制府札，立取庫金三千兩，吳疑之，詰數語，其人伏罪。乃告之曰：「爾等是極聰明人，故能作此伎倆，若落他人手，立斬矣。雖然，看汝狀貌，尚有出息。」乃畀以百金，縱之去。後數年，閩寇日熾，吳解餉由海道至廈門，中途忽逢盜劫，已而盡還之。盜過船，叩頭謝罪，曰：「公，大恩人也。」詢之，即向所持札取庫金者。由是，其人獻密計為內應，將以報之。時閩浙總督為姚啟聖，與吳同鄉也，商所以滅寇之法。康熙丙辰冬，八閩既復，姚以吳功績上聞，特擢福建按察使，旋擢兩廣總督。 |
