11  | 御史郭世重先生楠，郭楠，字世重，晉江人。講易蔡文、莊之門。正徳九年進士，授浦江令，有亷幹聲，徵入為監察御史。世宗即位，請召還直臣舒芬、王思、黃鞏、張衍瑞等，從之。嘉靖元年奉命稽覈兩廣倉帑，參劾藩司方面，無所回撓。尋上章請退朝之暇延見大臣，如祖宗故事，且言主事陳嘉言忤中官，不宜逮繫。上怒，奪其俸。復巡按雲南。時議大禮起，大小臣多被杖謫戍，杖有死者。楠感痛不勝，自恨不得與跪門之列，上疏曰：「陛下入繼大統，以孝宗為所後之親。自張璁倡為異議，桂萼、席書、方獻夫輩和之。羣臣伏闕呼號，忠情廹切，而置死問罪。璁等排正，議竊美官，上激九重雷霆之威，下貽舉朝縉紳之禍。所議之禮，未足慰二帝在天之靈，而號痛之聲已徹九廟之內。臣愚不意聖明之世，屢見以忠諫而獲罪也。乞復學士、豐熙等官，優䘏死諫之臣，庶以收納人心，全君臣之義」。疏入，上大怒，遣逮繫赴京廷，杖下詔獄，削籍為民。六年春，以天變脩省，從吏部議，量與一官起吉水教諭。尋陞崑山知縣，再遷至南寧守，遂乞歸。家居十有八年，構祠堂，作家規年譜，遺示子孫以夀終族。子文煥 |
