20  | 十一月，蒙古圍鄂州，都統張勝權州事，以城危在旦夕，登城諭之曰「城已為汝家有，但子女玉帛皆在將臺，可從彼取」蒙古信之，遂焚城外民居，將退。會高達等引兵至，賈似道亦駐漢陽為援，蒙古乃復進攻。遣苫徹拔都兒領兵同降人諭鄂州使降，抵城下，勝殺使者，以軍出襲苫徹拔都兒，戰敗死。達恃其武勇，殊易似道，每見其督戰，即戲之曰「巍巾者何能為哉」將戰，必須似道親勞始出，否即使兵士嘩於其門。呂文德諂事似道，使人訶曰「宣撫在此，何敢爾耶」曹世雄、向士璧皆從在軍，事未嘗關白。似道由是銜三人而親文德。 |
