《卷十四西夏叛服》

太祖建隆元年，定難節度使李彛興入貢。李氏自思恭歷唐末、五代，世有夏州。周顯德中，封彛興西平王。至是，加太尉。乾德五年李彛興卒，子克睿立。

十月，李繼遷轉攻西蕃，取西涼府。都首領潘羅支偽降，集六谷蕃部合擊繼遷，繼遷大敗，中流矢死。子德明立。契丹封德明為西平王。時環慶邊臣以德明初立，乞降詔慰撫之，帝乃詔德明，令審圖去就。知鎮戎軍曹瑋上言「繼遷擅河南地二十年，兵不解甲，使中國有西顧之憂。今其國危子弱，不即捕滅，後更強盛，不可制矣。願假臣精兵，出其不意，擒德明送闕下，復河南為郡縣，此其時也」帝欲以恩致德明，不報。

景德三年九月，李德明奉表歸款，復遣劉仁勖進誓表。十月，授德明充定難節度使，封西平王，賜賚甚厚，給奉如內地，因索子弟入質。德明謂非先世故事，不遣，惟獻駝馬謝恩而已。自是德明歲朝貢不絕。
