25  | 景德三年九月，李德明奉表歸款，復遣劉仁勖進誓表。十月，授德明充定難節度使，封西平王，賜賚甚厚，給奉如內地，因索子弟入質。德明謂非先世故事，不遣，惟獻駝馬謝恩而已。自是德明歲朝貢不絕。 |

| 2 | 真宗景德三年二月，罷寇準平章事，出知陝州。準為相，用人不以次，同列頗不悅。他日除官，同列目吏持例簿以進，准曰「宰相所以進賢退不肖，若用例，一吏職耳」自澶淵還，頗矜其功，帝待準甚厚，王欽若深嫉之。一日會朝，準先退，帝目送之，欽若因進曰「陛下敬準，為其有社稷功耶」帝曰「然」欽若曰「澶淵之役，陛下不以為恥，而謂準有社稷功，何也」帝愕然曰「何故」欽若曰「城下之盟，《春秋》恥之。澶淵之舉，以萬乘之貴而為城下之盟，何恥如之」帝愀然不悅。欽若曰「陛下聞博乎。博者輸錢欲盡，乃罄所有出之，謂之孤注。陛下，寇准之孤注也，斯亦危矣」由是帝顧準浸衰，竟罷為刑部尚書，出知陝州。 |
