明文震孟撰。震孟字文起，長洲人，天啟壬戌進士第一，官至東閣大學士，謚文肅，事跡具《明史》本傳。是書大意，以當世目吳人為輕柔浮靡，而不知清修苦節之士可為矜式者不少。故擇長洲、吳縣人物卓絕者各為之傳，而系以《贊》。

明倪元璐撰。元璐有《兒易內外儀》，已著錄。初，元璐官翰林時，掌外制之詞，文章典雅，為館閣所宗。其門人為刻《代言選》六卷，長洲文震孟序之。
