明趙釴撰。釴字子舉，一字鼎卿，桐城人。嘉靖甲辰進士，官至右僉都御史，巡撫貴州。此編皆考究事始，提綱列目，而採摭繁蕪，漫無別擇，又多不注所出。其皇古諸條，尤荒陋。如燧人氏條下云，立傳教台。注曰，案教令始此。

明趙釴撰。釴有《古今原始》，已著錄。是集凡文十二卷，詩五卷，乃其子鴻賜所編。林樹聲為作《墓志》，稱其《幾希圖說》、《闢方士論》、《講學諸說》，皆闡明理道，發前人所未發。今惟《幾希圖說》見集中，餘皆不載。
