2  | 後九年為乾道壬辰，因複取二程、張子及范祖禹、呂希哲、呂大臨、謝良佐、游酢、楊時、侯仲良、尹焞、周孚先等十二家之說，薈稡條疏，名之曰《論孟精義》，而自為之序。時朱子年四十三。後刻版於豫章郡，又更其名曰《要義》。 |
| 2 | 是書本以闡天人之奧，漢儒以無所附麗，編之《禮記》。實於五禮無所屬，故劉向謂之「通論」，師古以為非本禮經也。梁武帝嘗作《義疏》，見於《隋志》，然其書不傳。迨有宋諸儒研求性道，始定為心傳之要，而論說亦遂日詳。故墪輯是編，斷自周子、二程子、張子，而益以呂大臨、謝良佐、游酢、楊時、侯仲良、尹焞之說。初名《集解》。乾道癸巳，朱子為作《序》，極稱其謹密詳審。 |
