3  | 証以唐張渭詩「願得上方斷馬劍，斬取朱門公子頭」句，知《漢書》字誤。資考証者亦不一。近時顧炎武《日知錄》乃惟取其宣帝賜陳遂璽書一條，及元康三年封海昏侯詔一條，能改正《漢書》三四字。其餘則病其敘事索然無意味，間或首尾不備。其小有不同，皆以班《書》為長，未免抑揚過當。又曰：「紀王莽事自始建國元年以後，則云其二年、其三年，以至其十五年，以別於正統而盡沒其天鳳、地皇之號云云。其語不置可否。然不曰「盡削」而曰「盡沒」，似反病其疏略者。不知班《書》莽自為傳，自可載其偽號。荀書以漢系編年，豈可以莽紀元哉？是亦非確論，不足為悅病也。是書考李燾所《跋》，自天聖中已無善本。明黃姬水所刊亦間有舛訛。康熙中襄平蔣國祥、蔣國祚與袁宏《後漢紀》合刻，後附《兩漢紀字句異同考》一卷。今用以參校，較舊本稍完善焉。 |
