《卷48 史部·編年類存目》

明許誥撰。誥自號函谷山人，靈寶人，吏部尚書進之子，文淵閣大學士贊之兄，兵部尚書論之弟。弘治己未進士。官至南京戶部尚書。謚莊敏。事跡附見《明史·許進傳》。是書以司馬光《通鑒》、朱子《綱目》皆不直接《春秋》，中間闕七十餘年之事。金履祥《通鑒前編》，書法又多舛迕。乃重輯是編，以訂訛補闕。其中如辨宋昭公非周元孫，魏文侯未弒晉幽公，趙鞅、趙無恤之卒歲《史記》並誤，亦小有考証。而摹仿《春秋》過甚，拘文牽義，往往畫虎不成。

明許進撰。進字秀升，靈寶人，成化丙戌進士，官至兵部尚書，謚襄毅，事跡具《明史》本傳。初，弘治七年，土魯番阿黑麻攻陷哈密，執忠順王陝巴去。

進為甘肅巡撫，潛師襲複其城。致仕後因檢閱奏稿案牘，編為此書。嘉靖九年，其子誥疏進於朝，詔付史館。其述用兵始末及西番情事頗詳。今《明史》《土魯番》、《哈密》諸傳，大略本之於此。
