1  | 明潘希曾撰。希曾字仲魯，金華人，弘治壬戌進士，官至兵部左侍郎。是集為嘉靖末長洲黃省曾所校。首載詩四卷，次雜文四卷，次奏議四卷，而以墓志、小傳之類附錄於末。核其卷數，與《千頃堂書目》所載相符，蓋猶舊本也。希曾官兵科給事中時，奏奪太監汪直義男官爵。複因災異陳八事，皆直指近幸，無所避忌。及奉使湖廣、貴州，計處邊儲，又以不賂劉瑾，矯旨下獄，拷訊除名。 |
| 2 | 瑾誅，起官，複抗疏爭太素殿、天鵝房諸役，俱著直聲。今觀集中章奏，語皆剴切真摯，不為粉飾而深中事理，不愧其名。其平時雖不以文章著，而直抒胸臆，沛然有餘，亦其剛正之氣有不可掩遏者歟。又希曾治河，績最著。《小傳》稱其別有《治河錄》，今已不傳。然集中條議修築諸疏，措置規模，猶見一二。是尤切於實用之文，足以資後來考証者矣。 |
