1  | 明王应昌撰，其子锬续成之。应昌字亮之，嵊县人，万历癸酉举人。锬字长颖，入国朝官上海县知县。是书叙历代理学源流。分《开天一世祖》、《承天第一宗》、《达天第一宗》、《翼天第一宗》。标目已近乎二氏。至以荀卿、扬雄与孔子并列，尤为失伦。其分载诸儒支派，大率与黄宗羲《明儒学案》相出入。盖为门户而设，不为学问而设也。 |
| 1 | 明周汝登编。汝登字继元，又字海门，嵊县人，万历丁丑进士，官至南京尚宝司卿，《明史儒林传》附载《王畿传》。末称王守仁传王艮，艮传徐樾，樾传颜钧，钧传罗汝芳，汝芳传杨起元及汝登。起元清修姱节，然其学不讳禅。 |
