1  | 明魏應嘉撰。應嘉，興化人，萬歷戊戌進士，官至兵部左侍郞。是書前有應嘉《自序》，稱取劉方壺所臚列未盡者，具名於左。皆天啟中諸臣之不附魏忠賢者也。其詞狂謬之甚。所列執政一人、司禮大璫一人、部堂五人、卿寺三人、翰林七人、台諫十六人、部署二人。書後有《跋》，不知何人所作。詆應嘉為京、卞、敦、確。然應嘉依附奄黨，代為摶噬。觀其《自序》，殆不知世有廉恥事，實京、卞、敦、確之所不為者也。 |
| 2 | 案：此書及《東林同志錄》、《東林朋黨錄》、《天鑒錄》、《盜柄東林夥》皆天啟中書。其作者雖不可考，要皆萬歷時舊人也。今附諸魏應嘉、王紹徽後，從其類也。 |
