2  | 《隋书经籍志》以下，注其书者著录日繁，焦竑《老子翼》作于明万历中，所采尚六十四家。竑所未见者不知凡几，竑以后之所注又未知凡几也。盖儒书如培补荣卫之药，其性中和，可以常饵；《老子》如清解烦热之剂，其性偏胜，当其对证，亦复有功，与他子书之偏驳悠谬者异，故论述者不绝焉。然诸家旧注，多各以私见揣摩，或参以神怪之谈，或传以虚无之理，或岐而解以丹法，或引而参诸兵谋，群言淆乱，转无所折衷。惟我世祖章皇帝此注，皆即寻常日用，亲切阐明，使读者销争竞而还淳朴，为独超于诸解之上。盖圣人之道大，兼收并蓄，凡一家之书，皆不没所长。圣人之化神，因事制宜，凡一言之善，必旁资其用。固非拘墟之士所能仰窥涯涘矣。 |
