1  | 不著撰人名氏。前有永乐四年明成祖与徐皇后二《序》，俱谓永乐九年类辑《古今列女传》，以高皇后圣训与古后妃为一卷，而诸侯大夫、士庶人妻各为卷。 |
| 2 | 徐后请以《高皇后传》别刻之，遍赐内外，然则此即《古今列女传》之文而别出之者。其文则永乐初词臣所撰也。又前有世宗《致楚王书》，并《章圣太后诰谕楚藩》一道。章圣太后即兴献后也，嘉靖七年上尊号曰慈仁。九年颁太后制《女训》于天下。此在十年之春，盖与所颁《女训》同赐藩服。其时高帝、高后之谥号尚未改定，故仍前号也。其楚王即端王荣㳦，以嘉靖十三年卒，为昭王桢之四世孙。故世宗以叔祖称之云。 |
