1  | 明汪循撰。循字進之，休寧人，弘治丙辰進士，官至順天府通判。《江南通志》稱其游莊昶之門，與王守仁數相論辨，葢亦講學之流。集中有《答程曈書》云：「朱子著書立言，皆欲使人明其理，反求於心，未嘗教人弄故紙糟粕，以資一己功利。後之習其學者，徒知排比章句，而擴充變化之無功；辨析詞理，而持守涵養之不力；專訓詁者，附會穿鑿，疊床架屋，汩心思、亂耳目；工文詞者，飾筌蹄，取青紫，龍斷罔利，中立為奸。朱子之學，果如是乎？」其持論亦頗中流𡚁。然於曈之囂爭門戸，不一糾正，則猶未破症結也。其文第取疏暢，不事翦裁，詩亦不出「擊壤」一派。是集凡文十七卷，日錄二卷，詩五卷，末附詩話數則。《外集》一卷，附錄敕命、行實、墓銘、祭文之𩔖。題嘉靖辛卯書林劉氏刊行。其子戩跋，謂先刻其強半，葢尚非全稿。刻本亦頗多脫佚，失於校正云。 |
