1  | 宋王观国撰。观国，长沙人。其事迹不见于《宋史》，《湖广通志》亦未之载。惟贾昌朝《群经音辨》载有观国所作后序一篇，结衔称左承务郎，知汀州宁化县，主管劝农公事，兼兵马监押，末题绍兴壬戌秋九月中浣，则南渡以后人也。考晁公武、陈振孙两家书目及《宋史艺文志》是书俱未著录，吴曾《能改斋漫录》、赵与旹《宾退录》引之，均称曰《学林新编》。而今所传本，但题《学林》，无新编二字。考袁文《瓮牖闲评》、王楙《野客丛书》亦只称王观国《学林》，则当时已二名兼用矣。书中专以辨别字体、字义、字音为主。自六经、史、汉旁及诸书，凡注疏笺释之家，莫不胪列异同，考求得失，多前人之所未发。《宾退录》尝摘其误以不羹为羹颉，《瓮牖闲评》亦摘其议《资暇集》以行李为行，字无所根据，不知玉篇山部有此字，注释甚详。《能改斋漫录》又摘其谓《左传》季氏介其鸡当存高诱注以铠著鸡头，不当作蒙鸡之臆。 |
