1  | 唐孟棨撰。棨字初中，爵里未詳。王定保《唐摭言》稱「棨出入場籍垂三十餘年，年稍長於小魏公。其放榜日，出行曲謝」云云。則嘗於崔沆下登第。書中韓翃條內稱：「開成中，餘罷梧州。」亦不知為梧州何官。《新唐書藝文志》載此書，題曰孟啟。毛晉《津逮秘書》因之。然諸家稱引，並作棨字，疑唐志誤也。是書前有光啟二年自序云：「大駕在褒中。」蓋作於僖宗幸興元時。皆採歷代詩人緣情之作，敘其本事。分情感、事感、高逸、怨憤、徵異、徵咎、嘲戲七類。所記惟樂昌公主、宋武帝二條為六朝事，餘皆唐人。其中《士人代妻答詩》一首，韋縠《才調集》作《葛鵶兒》。二人相去不遠，蓋傳聞異詞。《薔薇花落》一詩乃賈島刺裴度作，棨所記不載緣起，疑傳寫脫誤。其李白《飯顆山頭》一詩，論者頗以為失實。然唐代詩人軼事頗賴以存，亦談藝者所不廢也。晁公武《讀書志》載五代有處常子者，嘗續棨書為二卷，仍依棨例，分為七章，皆唐人之詩。今佚不傳，惟棨書僅存云。 |
