1  | 右唐蕭穎士茂挺也。梁宗室之後。舉進士，開元二十三年中第，為史館待制。安祿山反，竄山南。節度崔圓授揚州工曹，至官，信宿而去。客死汝南逆旅。門人謚曰文元先生。穎士屬文觀書，一覽即誦，通百家譜系、書籀，嘗教授濮陽，時號蕭夫子。李林惡不附己，故數罷去。閻士和盛推穎士文章，以為聞蕭氏之風者，童子羞稱曹、陸。《唐書》云：穎士作伐櫻桃賦以詆李林甫，君子很其褊。按集載其辭，有曰：「每俯臨乎蕭牆，姦回得而窺伺」，蓋謂林甫之必致寇也。其後果階祿山之禍，唐遂不振，然則穎士可謂知幾矣，宜褒而返加以貶詞，何哉？ |
