63  | 「二，吾犹不足，如之何其彻也？」有若曰：「百姓足，君孰与不足？百姓不足，君孰与足二，谓己收公田之租，又履私田之亩，十取其一？」公又问于孔子，孔子曰：「薄赋敛，则人富。」公曰：「若是，寡人贫矣。」对曰：「岂弟君子，人之父母。未见子富而父贫也。」 |
| 106 | 石林叶氏曰：「世多言耕用牛始汉赵过，以为《易》『服牛乘马，引重致远』，牛马之用盖同，初不以耕也。故华山、桃林之事，武王以休兵并言，而《周官》，凡农政无有及牛者。此理未必然。孔子弟子冉伯牛、司马牛皆名『耕』，若非用于耕，则何取于牛乎？《汉书·赵过传》但云：『亩五顷用耦耕，二牛三人。其后民或苦少牛，平都令光乃教过以人挽犁。』由是言之，盖古耕而不犁，后世变为犁法。耦用人，犁用牛，过特为之增损其数耳，非用牛自过始也。耦与犁皆耕事，故通言之。孔子言『犁牛之子も且角』，则孔子时固己用犁，此二氏所以为字也。」 |
