1  | 陳氏曰：趙師秀紫芝撰。四人者，號「永嘉四靈」，皆晚唐體者也。惟師秀嘗登科、改官，亦不顯。 |
| 2 | 水心《徐道暉墓誌》略曰：道暉有詩數百，斵思尤奇，皆橫絕歘起，冰懸雪跨，使讀者變踔憀慄，肯首吟歎不自巳。然無異語，皆人所知也，人不能道耳。蓋魏晉名家多發興高遠之言，少騷物切近之實。及沈約、謝朓「永明體」出，士爭效之，初猶甚艱，或僅得一偶句，便巳名世矣。夫束字十餘，五色彰施，而律呂相命，豈易工哉！故善為是者，取成於心，寄妍於物，融會一法，涵受萬象，豨苓、桔梗，時而為帝，無不按節赴之，君尊臣卑，賓頤主穆，如丸投區，矢破的，此唐人之精也。然厭之者，謂其纖碎而害道，淫肆而亂雅，至於廷設九奏，廣袖大幅，而反以浮響疑宮商，布縷謬組繡，則失其所以為詩矣。然則發今人未悟之機，興四百年巳廢之學，使復言唐詩者自君始，不亦詞人墨客之一快也！惜其不尚以年，不及臻乎開元、元和之盛。而君既死，同為唐詩者，徐璣字文淵、翁卷字靈舒、趙師秀字紫芝。紫芝集常友朋殯且葬之。 |
