4  | 周鑣字仲馭，號鹿溪；金壇人。父泰時，雲南布政使。鑣舉鄉試第一，中崇禎戊辰進士；官禮部主事。抗疏論不當寵任內臣、罷斥言官；帝怒，斥為民。自是知名。鑣伯父尚書應秋、叔父御史維持，以黨附魏璫，列「逆案」；鑣深恥之。通籍後，即交東林，矯矯樹名節。阮大鋮之廢居金陵也，鑣與諸名士為「留都防亂揭帖」以逐之；大鋮懼而匿身牛首山。或謂大鋮曰：『周鑣之名以詬公而重，諸名士之黨又以詬公者媚鑣』。於是大鋮怨鑣刺骨。南都之議立君也，呂大器、姜曰廣並主潞王，鑣與雷演祚嘗往來游說；故馬、阮欲以是致二人於死。 |
