6  | 甲子，有白衣野老，自云霍太山遣來，詣帝請謁。帝弘達至理，不語神怪，逮乎佛道，亦以致疑，未之深信。門人不敢以聞，此老乃伺帝行營，路左拜見。帝戲謂之曰：「神本不測，卿何得見卿非神類，豈其神言「野老對曰：「某事山祠，山中聞語：『遣語大唐皇帝云：若往霍邑，宜東南傍山取路，八月初雨止，我當為帝破之，可為吾立祠廟也。』帝試遣案行，傍山向霍邑，道路雖峻，兵枉行而城中不見。若取大路，去縣十里，城上人即遙見兵來。」帝曰：「行逢滯雨，人多疲濕，甲仗非精，何可令人遠見且欲用權譎，難為之巧，山神示吾此路，可謂指蹤。雨霽有征，吾従神也。然此神不欺趙襄子，亦應無負於孤。」顧左右笑以為樂。丙寅，突厥始畢使達官、級失、特勤等先報，已遣兵馬上道，計日當至。帝曰：地名賈胡，知胡將至。天其假吾此胡，以成王業也。」 |
