游雅常曰：「前史稱卓子康、劉文饒之為人，卓茂，字子康。劉寬，字文饒。褊心者或不之信。褊，補典翻。余與高子游處四十年，處，昌呂翻。未嘗見其喜慍之色，慍，於問翻。乃知古人為不誣耳。高子內文明而外柔順，其言吶吶不能出口。吶，如悅翻，又奴劣翻；吶吶，言緩也。昔崔司徒嘗謂余云：『高生豐才博學，一代佳士，所乏者，矯矯風節耳。』余亦以為然。及司徒得罪，起於纖微，詔指臨責，司徒聲嘶股栗，殆不能言；嘶，先齊翻；聲破曰嘶。宗欽已下，伏地流汗，皆無人色。高子獨敷陳事理，申釋是非，辭義清辯，音韻高亮。人主為之動容，聽者無不神聳，事見一百二十五卷文帝元嘉二十七年。為，于僞翻。此非所謂矯矯者乎！宗愛方用事，威振四海。嘗召百官於都坐，魏有都坐大官。魏之都坐，猶唐之朝堂也。或曰都坐尚書。都坐卽唐之政事堂。坐，徂臥翻。王公已下皆趨庭望拜，高子獨升階長揖。由此觀之，汲長孺可以臥見衞青，何抗禮之有！言以高允之揖宗愛觀之，則汲黯可以臥見衞青，與之抗禮，未為過也。汲黯字長孺；抗禮事見十九卷漢武帝元朔五年。此非所謂風節者乎！夫人固未易知；易，以豉翻。吾旣失之於心，崔又漏之於外，發之於言，則是漏之於外。此乃管仲所以致慟於鮑叔也。」管仲曰：「生我者父母，知我者鮑子也。」致慟，蓋感其知己之深。
