高熲使上柱國趙仲卿將兵三千為前鋒，至族蠡山，將，卽亮翻。蠡，音黎。與突厥遇，交戰七日，大破之；追奔至乞伏泊，復破之，虜千餘口，雜畜萬計。突厥復大舉而至，仲卿為方陳，厥，九勿翻；下同。畜，許又翻。復，扶又翻。陳，讀曰陣；下同。四面拒戰，凡五日。會高熲大兵至，合擊之，突厥敗走，追度白道，踰秦山七百餘里而還。還，從宣翻，又如字。楊素軍與達頭遇。先是諸將與突厥戰，慮其騎兵奔突，皆以戎車步騎相參，設鹿角為方陳，騎在其內。此古法也，雖衞青、劉裕未之能易也，所謂先為不可勝以待敵之可勝者也。先，悉薦翻。騎，奇寄翻；下同。素曰：「此乃自固之道，未足以取勝也。」于是悉除舊法，令諸軍為騎陳。達頭聞之，大喜曰：「天賜我也！」下馬仰天而拜，帥騎兵十餘萬直前。上儀同三司周羅睺曰：「賊陳未整，請擊之。」帥精騎逆戰，素以大兵繼之，突厥大敗，達頭被重創而遁，殺傷不可勝計，其衆號哭而去。魏舒毀車崇卒以敗狄，楊素除戎車為騎陳以破突厥，皆鼓儳而勝耳。帥，讀曰率。勝，音升。號，戶高翻。

又令上柱國趙仲卿屯兵二萬為啓民防達頭，為，于僞翻。代州總管韓洪等將步騎一萬鎭恒安。《隋志》：雁門，後周置肆州，開皇五年改曰代州。《舊唐志》：恒安鎭，在隋馬邑郡雲內縣界，唐為雲州雲中縣，卽後魏所都平城之地。恒，戶登翻。達頭騎十萬來寇，韓洪軍大敗，騎，奇寄翻。仲卿自樂寧鎭邀擊，斬首千餘級。
