72  | 丁丑，僧辯至姑孰，子鑒帥步騎萬餘人渡洲，於岸挑戰，又以鵃䑠千艘載戰士。《類篇》曰：鵃䑠，船長貌。《玉篇》曰：鵃䑠，小船也。《集韻》：鵃，丁了翻。䑠，朗鳥翻。按《王僧辯傳》：鵃䑠，其中載士，兩邊悉八十棹，棹手皆越人，去來趣襲，捷過風電。蓋今之水哨馬卽其類。《考異》曰：《典略》作「烏鵲舫千艘」。今從《梁書》。僧辯麾細船皆令退縮，留大艦夾泊兩岸。子鑒之衆謂水軍欲退，爭出趨之；趨，七喻翻。大艦斷其歸路，斷，音短。鼓譟大呼，合戰中江，呼，火故翻。子鑒大敗，士卒赴水死者數千人。子鑒僅以身免，收散卒走還建康，據東府。僧辯留虎臣將軍莊丘慧達鎭姑孰，引軍而前，歷陽戍迎降。降，戶江翻。景聞子鑒敗，大懼，涕下覆面，覆，敷又翻。引衾而臥，良久方起，歎曰：「誤殺乃公！」 |
