35  | 燕王盛懲其父寶以懦弱失國，務峻威刑，又自矜聰察，多所猜忌，羣臣有纖介之嫌，皆先事誅之，先，悉薦翻。由是宗親、勳舊，人不自保。丁亥，左將軍慕容國與殿上將軍秦輿、段讚謀帥禁兵襲盛，殿上將軍蓋慕容所置，緣晉之殿中將軍而名官也。帥，讀曰率。事發，死者五百餘人。壬辰夜，前將軍段璣與秦輿之子興、段讚之子泰潛於禁中鼓譟大呼；呼，火故翻。盛聞變，帥左右出戰，帥，讀曰率。賊衆逃潰。璣被創，創，初良翻。匿廂屋間。俄有一賊從闇中擊盛，盛被傷，輦升前殿，申約禁衞，事定而卒。年二十九。慕容盛臨變而整，此其雄略亦有過人者，然以猜忌好殺致斃，則天下之人固非一人可舞其智略而盡殺也。 |
