31  | 質自請攻東城。諮議參軍顏樂之說義宣曰：「質若復克東城，樂，音洛。說，輸芮翻。復，扶又翻。則大功盡歸之矣；宜遣麾下自行。」義宣乃遣劉諶之與質俱進。甲寅，義宣至梁山，頓兵西岸，義宣自鵲頭至梁山西岸。質與劉諶之進攻東城。玄謨督諸軍大戰，薛安都帥突騎先衝其陳之東南，陷之，帥，讀曰率。騎，奇寄翻。陳，讀曰陳。斬諶之首，劉季之、宗越又陷其西北，質等兵大敗。垣護之燒江中舟艦，煙焰覆水，艦，戶黯翻。覆，敷又翻；下覆頭同。延及西岸營壘殆盡；諸軍乘勢攻之，義宣兵亦潰。義宣單舸迸走，閉戶而泣，舸，古我翻。迸，北孟翻。戶，艦戶也。荊州人隨之者猶百餘舸。質欲見義宣計事，而義宣已去，質不知所為，亦走，其衆皆降散。降，戶江翻。己未，解嚴。 |
