37  | 庚子，詔遣寧遠將軍王質帥衆三千巡江防遏。景攻歷陽太守莊鐵，丁未，鐵以城降。降，戶江翻。因說景曰：「國家承平歲久，人不習戰，聞大王舉兵，內外震駭，宜乘此際速趨建康，說，式芮翻。趨，七喻翻。可兵不血刃而成大功。若使朝廷徐得為備，內外小安，遣羸兵千人直據采石，羸，倫為翻。大王雖有精甲百萬，不得濟矣。」景乃留儀同三司田英、郭駱守歷陽，以鐵為導，引兵臨江。江上鎭戍相次啓聞。上問討景之策於都官尚書羊侃，侃請「以二千人急據采石，令邵陵王襲取壽陽；使景進不得前，退失巢穴，烏合之衆，自然瓦解。」朱异曰：「景必無渡江之志。」遂寢其議。侃曰：「今茲敗矣！」 |
