朱正色，字應明，南和人。萬厯進士。除偃師令，調江陵。時張居正父喪歸里，使者奉詔䕶送，欲于文廟開讀，正色不可。擢兵部郎，時有「南都六君子」之稱，正色與焉。丁母憂，服除，備兵肅州教陣法，習技擊，遂解金佛之圍。轉甘州副使。水泉告變，正色分守要害，設伏出，竒以大捷聞。累遷僉都御史，巡撫寧夏，擒哱承恩、劉東陽，俘馘闕下。晉右副都御史，致仕歸，卒。予祭葬
