15  | 徐爰字長玉，南瑯邪開陽人也。本名瑗，後以與傅亮父同名，亮啟改為爰。初為晉瑯邪王大司馬府中典軍，從北征，微密有意理，為武帝所知。少帝在東宮，入侍左右。文帝初，又見親任，遂至殿中侍御史。元嘉十二年，轉南臺御史，始興王浚後軍行參軍。復侍太子於東宮，遷員外散騎侍郎。文帝每出軍，常懸授兵略。二十九年，重遣王玄謨等北侵，配爰五百人，隨軍碻磝，銜中旨臨時宣示。孝武至新亭，江夏王義恭南奔，爰時在殿內，詐劭追義恭，因即得南走。時孝武將即大位，軍府造次，不曉朝章，爰素諳其事，及至，莫不喜悅，以兼太常丞撰立儀注。後兼尚書右丞，遷左丞。 |
