51  | 八年春正月丙辰，行幸鄴，存問風俗。司空奚斤既平兖豫，還圍虎牢，宋守將毛徳祖距守不下。蠕蠕犯塞。二月戊辰，築長城於長川之南，起自赤城，西至五原，延袤二千餘里，備置戍衛。三月乙邜，濟自靈昌。夏四月丁邜，幸成臯，觀虎牢，而城內乏水，縣綆汲河。帝令連艦上施轒輼，絶其汲路，又穿地道，以奪其井。丁丑，幸洛陽觀石經。閏月丁未，還幸河內，北登太行幸髙都。己未，虎牢潰，士衆大疫，死者十二三。辛酉，幸晉陽，班賜王公以下至於廝役。五月丙寅，還次鴈門，皇太子率留臺王公迎于句注之北。庚寅，車駕至自南廵。六月己亥，太尉、宜都公穆觀薨。丙辰，北廵至參合陂。秋七月，幸三㑹屋侯泉，詔皇太子率百官以從。八月，幸馬邑，觀于灅源。九月乙亥，車駕還宫。冬十月癸邜，廣西宮，起外牆周囬二十里，是嵗飢，詔所在開倉振給。十一月己巳，帝崩於西宫，時年三十二。遺詔以司空奚斤所獲軍實賜大臣，自司徒長孫嵩以下至於士卒各有差。十二月庚子，上諡曰明元皇帝，葬于雲中金陵，廟稱太宗。帝兼資文武，禮爱儒生，好覽史𫝊，以劉向所撰新序、說苑》於經典正義多有所闕，乃撰新集》三十篇，採諸經史該洽古義，云明元帝永興五年，神瑞二年，泰恒八年，即位十五年。 |
