天嘉元年春正月癸丑，大赦，改元。詔賜鰥寡孤獨不能自存者，人粟五斛，孝悌力田殊行異等，加爵一級。甲寅，分遣使者宣勞四方。辛酉，祀南郊，詔賜民爵一級。二月丙申，太尉侯瑱敗王琳于梁山，敗齊兵于博望，禽齊將劉伯球。王琳及其主蕭莊奔齊。庚子，分遣使者齎璽書宣勞四方。乙巳，遣太尉侯瑱鎭盆城。庚戌，立武帝第六子昌為衡陽王。三月丙辰，蕭莊所署郢州刺史孫瑒舉州內附。丁巳，江州刺史周廸平南中，斬賊帥熊曇朗，傳首建鄴。戊午，齊軍棄魯山城走，詔南豫州刺史程靈洗守之。丙子，衡陽王昌沈于江。夏四月丁亥，立皇子伯信為衡陽王，奉獻王後。辛丑，周明帝崩。六月辛巳，改諡皇祖妣景安皇后曰景文皇后。壬辰，詔改葬梁元帝於江寧舊塋，車旗禮章，悉同梁典，仍依魏葬漢獻帝故事。甲午，追䇿故始興昭烈王妃曰孝妃。辛丑，國哀周忌，上臨于太極前殿，百僚陪哭，赦建鄴殊死以下。秋七月丙辰，立皇子伯山為鄱陽王。八月壬午，齊孝昭帝廢其主殷而自立。戊子，詔非兵器及國家所須，金銀珠玉衣服雜玩，悉皆禁斷。丁酉，幸正陽堂閱武。九月癸丑，彗星見。乙卯，周將獨孤盛領水軍趣巴湘，與賀若敦水陸俱進，太尉侯瑱自尋陽禦之。冬十月癸巳，侯瑱襲破獨孤盛於楊葉洲，盛登岸，築城自保。丁酉，詔司空侯安都率衆會侯瑱南拒周軍。十二月己亥，周巴陵，城主尉遲憲降。庚子，獨孤盛潛遁走。
