建武十八年，夷渠帥棟蠶與姑復、楪榆、梇棟、連然、滇池、建伶、昆明諸種反叛，殺長吏。姑復，縣，屬越巂郡，餘六縣並屬益州郡也。益州太守繁勝與戰而敗，退保朱提。縣，屬犍為郡。朱音殊。提音匙。十九年，遣武威將軍劉尚等發廣漢、犍為、蜀郡人及朱提夷，合萬三千人擊之。尚軍遂度瀘水，入益州界。瀘水一名若水，出旄牛徼外，經朱提至僰道入江，在今巂州南。特有瘴氣，三月四月經之必死。五月以後，行者得無害。故諸葛亮表云「五月度瀘」，言其艱苦也。羣夷聞大兵至，皆弃壘奔走，尚獲其羸弱、穀畜。二十年，進兵與棟蠶等連戰數月，皆破之。明年正月，追至不韋，孫盛蜀譜曰：「初，秦徙呂不韋子弟宗族於蜀，漢武帝開西南夷，置郡縣，徙呂氏以充之，因置不韋縣。」華陽國志曰「武帝通博南，置不韋縣，徙南越相呂嘉子孫宗族資之。因名不韋，以章其先人之惡行」也。斬棟蠶帥，凡首虜七千餘人，得生口五千七百人，馬三千疋，牛羊三萬餘頭，諸夷悉平。
