142  | 棣以僧道衍為謀主，䕶衞張玉朱能為爪牙，選將校勾軍卒，部署已定，問道衍，師期對曰：「未也」。棣始稱病，既稱病篤，㑹燕山衞百戸倪諒告變，帝下詔讓棣，遣中官逮王府僚屬。北平都指揮使謝貴、布政使張昺以軍士列九門防守，都指揮張信叛附于棣，以情輸之，棣乃用道衍計，令張玉、朱能潛納勇士八百人入府守衞。及朝使至，棣偽縛官校置庭中，紿貴、昺入，執殺之。張玉等率勇士奪九門，燕府長史葛誠、䕶衞指揮盧振初皆與貴、昺謀誅棣，至是並遇害，夷其族伴讀余逢辰泣諫殺之。參政郭資、副使墨麟、僉事呂震並降棣。棣乃上書于朝，指齊泰、黃子澄為奸臣，請入清君側，遂自署官屬，稱其兵曰「靖難。尋陷薊州，奪居庸關，破懷來。都督宋忠戰敗，死之。于是通州、遵化、永平、密雲諸守將皆以城叛，衆至數萬。 |
