141  | 登嘉靖己丑進士，官行人考選御史，母憂，廬墓畢，補原官。辛丑，上封事，謂：「今日致危亂者五：一則輔臣夏言習為欺國，翊國公郭勛為國巨蠧，所當急去，二則凍餒之，民不憂恤，而為方士修雷壇三，則大小臣工勿覩朝儀，宜慰其望。四則名器濫及緇黃出入大內，非制五則言事諸臣。若楊最、羅洪先等非死，即斥所損國體不小。疏入，上大怒，逮繫鎮撫司，拷掠備至㭱鎖晝夜，血肉淋漓，死者數矣，而先生氣定，故得再甦。主事周天佐、御史浦鋐俱以救先生箠死獄中，於是防守益嚴，上日使人偵先生一言一動，皆籍記，偵者苦於不得言，以情告先生，使勿為善言，先生曰：有意而言，便是欺也。部郎錢緒山、劉晴川、給事周訥谿先後以事下獄，相與講學不輟，緒山先釋先生，願有以為別緒，山曰：靜中收攝精神，勿使遊放，則心體湛一，髙眀廣大，可馴致矣。作聖之功，其在此乎？」先生敬識之，與晴川訥谿讀書賦詩，如是者五年，所著周易辨録》、《中庸解》若干卷。乙巳八月，上用箕神之言，釋先生三人，而三人者，猶取道潞水舟中講學，踰臨清而別會上造觀臺，太宰熊浹驟諫，上怒，罷浹，復逮三人，時先生抵家，甫十日，忽校至，先生曰：「若復来乎？」校謬為慰曰：「吾他往一省公耳。先生曰：「吾知之矣，與校同食食已」。曰：「行乎？」校曰：「盍一入為別先生。立屏前曰：「朝廷有㫖見逮，吾行矣」。即攬袂行。又繫獄三年，始得還。卒之前。一夕，有大鳥集於庭，先生嘆曰：「楊伯起之鳥至矣，兆在我乎！」援筆自誌惓惓以作第一等，事做第一等人，教其子孫，無他辭。隆慶初，贈光祿寺少卿，謚忠介。斛山論學。 |
