78 | 嘉靖中,科道雒遵馬三樂等會議,曰:「故禮部侍郎薛瑄鍾河、汾之霛秀,接洙、泗之正,𫝊學以復性為本,以敬為要,窮理以擴其欲,力行以踐,其實潛心。孔、孟寤寐,程、朱自許衡而下,造詣未有或之先者也。夷攷其平生剛方正直,不畏強禦,清修苦節,可質神明,拳拳乎致君堯、舜而不隨世以就功名,侃侃乎許身稷、契而不因難以移厥志。知行兼全,表裏無間,誠昭代理學名臣之首,出純粹而無雜者也。矧今士習漸流,道貞日晦,講良知者以頓悟為妙,而略居敬窮理之功。論道體者,以幻空為言,而昧理一分殊之實,非惟不足以明道而適所以病道也。兹欲挽之于正,惟在表章真儒,使卓然知所崇,尚庶乎彰懿行於將來,振儒宗於百代。大道昭明,而正學丕著,其於世教,非小補云。 |
