起用言事謫降諸臣，時擢林俊、強珍為按察副使，命科道官闗者悉増補，南京吏部主事儲巏因言先朝直諫諸臣既䝉軫念，起改官資，而前主事張吉、王純、中書舍人丁璣、進士敖毓元，尚棄嶺海蠻瘴之間，臣甚惜焉。又前進士李文祥，當陛下御極之初，倡衆敢言，冀益新政大臣，厭其少年，陽示培植而隂挫抑之，天下皆知非陛下意，方今増補諫官，乞召此五人，寘之風紀論思之地，言論手采，必有可觀。帝命部臣起用之。純初以抗章留王恕，稱恕社稷臣，忤㫖，貶璣、毓元應星變記，與張吉各陳時政，疏言過切直留中，謫璣普安州判官。毓元後謁選，得橫州知州，中㫖降雲南縣丞。文詳者，萬安孫𢎞壁，同榜進士，安重其才欵之家，嘗以詩規安安怒，帝即位，內閣擬登極詔書誡諫官母言事，文祥上對事，極論其非，比之李吉甫、王安石，安與劉吉，皆怒票㫖，授繫劇縣丞，厯練遂為陜西咸寜丞以去，至是，帝雖俞巏言，及吏部擬擢官，多為吉所紏駁，頗不盡起用，明年，文祥復以王恕薦，召為兵部主事、質實，横州，唐置，明屬南寜府。咸寜，唐置，明倚西安府治東，今皆因之。儲巏，字靜夫，㤗州人。丁璣，字玉夫，丹徒人。敖毓，元新喻人。李文祥，字天瑞，麻城人。發明，自孝宗更新庶政，軫念言事，謫降諸臣，一時如林俊、強珍軰皆得起改官資，布列清要，于是儲巏以丁璣等五人列諸薦剡，既從其請而召用之，何又任劉吉之隂為阻撓，俾丁璣卒滯逺州，而李文祥者，復待王恕上章，再薦，始召為兵部主事，及蒞任未踰一月，遂假吉人之獄，闌入其名，竟至獲罪而去，雖曰吉實為之，然果孝宗英察有餘，吉亦安能施其隂狡哉！夏四月，釐正祀典。
