《卷下》
36  | 蚺蛇，大者五六丈，圍四五尺，以次者，亦不下三四丈。圍亦稱是。身有斑文，如故錦纈，俚人云，春夏多于山林中等鹿過則銜之，自尾而吞，惟頭角礙于口中案，原本脫此十四字。今據《太平廣記》補入。則于樹間合其首，俟鹿壞，頭角墜地，鹿身方咽入腹。如此蝮蛇極羸弱，及其鹿消，壯俊悅懌，勇健于未食鹿者。或云一年則食一鹿。 |
| 37 | 蚺蛇膽，普安州有養蛇戶，每年五月五日即擔蚺蛇入府，祗候取膽。余曾親見。皆於大籠之中，藉以軟草盤屈其上，兩人舁一條在地上，即以十數拐子從頭翻其身，旋以拐子案之，不得轉側，即於腹上約其尺寸用利刃決之，肝膽突出。即割下其膽，皆如鴨子大。曝於以備上貢。卻合內肝，以線合其瘡口，即收入籠。或云，舁歸放川澤。 |
