時唐主將議恩命於王，顧群臣曰：「朕從黌堂，聞尚父之名，宜以優禮尊之。」命備冊禮，有司乃備竹冊銅印。唐主曰：「尚父元老不當待以人臣，況已封建乎！」乃賜玉冊金冊，仍以紅袍御服一副賜焉。九月，王師大舉伐蜀。冬十二月，蜀偽主王衍降。是月，制授土客諸軍都指揮、檢校太保、兼鎮海軍節度副使王子元求檢校太尉、兼侍中、充靜海軍節度使。是月，閩王王審知殂，子延翰嗣，自稱閩國主。

丙戌四年夏四月戊寅，王不康，如衣錦軍，命文穆王監國。是月，莊宗崩，明宗即位，大赦，改元天成。秋七月庚寅，王至自衣錦軍。八月朔，日有蝕之。九月，制加文穆王食邑一千戶，實封一百戶，又授中吳軍節度使王子元璙開府儀同三司，加食邑五百戶。冬十二月，制授靜海軍節度使王子元球開府儀同三司，食邑五百戶。是月，建州刺史王延稟殺其弟延翰，一名輸而立泉州刺史延均於福州。延稟，乃延均之庶兄也。同起兵攻殺延翰，延稟乃立延均於福州，而延稟歸建州矣。

初，審知薨，延翰嗣位，以延稟為建州，延均為泉州。延均不悅，而延稟亦憾於延翰，於是泉、建同啟兵攻福州，殺延翰，遂立延均於福州。延稟歸建州，將行，謂延均曰：「善紹先人基業，勿煩我老兄再至。」延均聞之含憾，至是將圖延稟，乃詐言已死，使軍吏迎取延稟。乃囚其子繼雄，仍執延稟入城。延均曰：「果煩老兄再至矣。」延稟瞪詈之而就戮。其繼升、繼倫自是聞難而奔於王焉。
